In its 14th year, the Franklin Wine Festival started in Nashville as a charitable event and program with Cool Springs Wine & Spirits before high profile events like Wine on the River and the Nashville Wine Auction reached popularity. RPR was challenged with increasing awareness for the festival in addition to driving ticket sales for the event.
STRATEGIES + TACTICS
Our team worked with the Big Brothers Big Sisters staff to coordinate pre-event coverage and develop a series of media angles that would raise awareness for the festival and the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters. This included showcasing the festival’s vendors and vintners before the event and developing a targeted social media strategy with influencers.
Our team secured coverage with local media outlets in advance of the event, driving ticket sales. The 2017 festival raised a record amount of donations and had a record number of ticket sales in the event’s history. Our team secured coverage across a number of local outlets, including Talk of the Town, Today in Nashville, local evening news and with outlets The Tennessean, Williamson Source, Brentwood Homepage and more. Additionally, the team worked with local social media influencers with large followings for takeovers and giveaways that resulted in more than 1,000 new followers for the Big Brothers Big Sisters Instagram account.
