Nashville Shores Lakeside Resort, a 385-acre family recreation destination located on Percy Priest Lake, engaged REED to manage the park’s 2023 summer public relations efforts and to unveil its new waterslide, Riptide Racer, a five-story tall, 100-yard-long racing slide. To celebrate the occasion and garner media attention, REED dreamt up a media preview day complete with a competition for free season passes, a partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee and a $1,000 donation to the organization.

The REED team coordinated the partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee from start to finish, secured and organized several influencer partnerships and shared recommendations on additional actions with the Nashville Shores team, such as providing free water park tickets to each of the water slide’s first riders, giving away season passes to those who rode the new water slide the fastest and donating $1,000 to the organization by way of a big check presentation.
After facilitating the donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee, all influencers and members of the organization were invited to enjoy the park for the day before opening to the public for the summer season.
REED secured 12 online placements, 14 broadcast placements, six influencer partnerships and three e-newsletter inclusions, which resulted in an audience of over 22,183,000 million. Highlights include obtaining coverage from three of Nashville’s broadcast stations in addition to online pieces from WZTV, Flipboard, NewsBreak and Nashville Patch.
