Our intern Jordan is originally from The Bahamas, but she traded in Nassau’s beaches for Nashville’s city streets to attend college at Lipscomb University. Now, her perfect day includes hitting up the gym, exploring Nashville by foot and curling up with a good Netflix show. We can’t think of a better way to fall in love with Music City! Read on to learn more about our newest team member.

Job Title: Intern
Enneagram Number: 1
Where is home for you? Nassau, The Bahamas
What do you love most about living in Nashville?
Nashville is enriched with warm, welcoming and thoughtful people. The city is not hectic and possesses unique bliss. I enjoy everything from walking downtown to learning the city’s history and walking in the park with friends. I thoroughly love the sense of community and family that Music City fosters.
If you could be a superhero, which one would you be?
Superwoman, Superwoman, Superwoman!
What is a crazy story you love to tell at parties?
I was initially a biology major at Lipscomb University, even though I hated biology all through high school. I wanted to be a doctor but found I disliked everything about the sciences.
What do you do for fun?
I enjoy going to the gym, going to the park and spending alone time watching Netflix.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Every morning, I think of the goal that I seek to achieve. I remember the reason I came to school and where I want to be in life. Although getting up every morning may not be the easiest, I always remind myself that my purpose must be fulfilled and I must be relentless in my pursuit. My parents have sacrificed everything so that I can have everything, and for that, I push myself to express my full potential every day.
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Chicken Fettucine Alfredo
Favorite quote?
“There will be mountains that I must climb and there will be battles that I must fight. But victory or defeat, it is up to me to decide. How can I expect to win if I never try?” – Mary Mary
Last words?
Never look at your current situation as a means of defining the outcome of your future. Always remember, the road to success is paved with spikes and the path to prosperity is lined with pain. In life, we must use each setback and disappointment as a propellant, boosting us to our true potential. One should never seek to be wealthy but live a purpose-filled life. It is from fulfilling your purpose that flows an abundance of genuine richness.
