The Nashville chapter of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) gave us a moment we won’t forget: Our team earned the first-ever “Best Boutique Agency” honor at the 2025 Parthenon Awards! This award means a lot to our 14-person crew, who put care into each project, every client and all our work together.
How We Got Here
Our story began in Nashville in 2012, and it’s been a steady climb since then. We’ve always kept our sights on what matters—real results for our clients. In the past two years, we’ve seen revenue jump 44 percent. But what stands out most is that last year, we helped every client beat their goals while keeping our promise to support our team’s well-being and give back to our city.
What Sets REED Apart
We work with everyone from solo coaches to a national coffee company with over 460 stands and treat each client like they’re our only one. We dig in to learn what makes each business and place unique. Whether in Nashville, a small Wisconsin town or New York City, we shape messages that feel real and get people talking!
Our Leadership
Our leadership team, Partners Macey Binner, Tayhlor Blackwell and Katherine Green, and Founding Partner Lauren Reed Williams, live out our values daily.
Katherine, Macey and Tayhlor share the work of running the business, hiring, new projects and building a strong culture while acting as strategic advisers on every client. Lauren continues to make her mark long after founding REED by nurturing the deep roots in both the PR industry and entrepreneurial community she has built over the years, representing our brand through endeavors that feed her passions, such as serving as co-founder of Wealth of a Woman, and creating new connections through her professional speaking and writing career.
The team of four works together on the long-term vision and strategy of the company. As recently named partners, Tayhlor, Katherine and Macey strive to build on the strong foundation built by Lauren, continuously innovating to maintain REED’s reputation as an outstanding place to work and work with.
One thing we’re proud of: everyone on our team knows how the business works, from what clients pay to our complete financial picture! This open approach builds trust and helps everyone feel like a true owner of our wins.
Well-Being Matters
We’re proud that our focus on well-being earned us a Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health, scoring 94 percent. We’ve shown you can run a successful agency without losing work-life balance.
Our team enjoys flexible hours, mental health support and the chance to give back through our Be The Good Program, which gave more than $11,000 to local groups last year. Plus, our office composting diverted 362 pounds of material from the landfill.
Our Results Tell the Story
- We helped Carter Vintage Guitars move to a new spot and saw sales jump 50 percent the next month.
- We grew Twice Daily’s online “Made to Order” sales by 155.7 percent year over year.
- For Forza Pilates, our efforts started before they opened, contributing to their significant growth (hello, 12,000 Instagram followers!) and their feature in The New York Times.
- For 5-year client the Loveless Cafe, we secured placements in in Southern Living, Town & Country, Garden and Gun, Food & Wine, Forbes, Martha Stewart, The Knot, Thrillist and more.
- Our team “Cultivated Kindness” with rapidly-growing coffee brand 7 Brew in over 80 different markets in 2024 alone.
These wins are just the beginning of the results the team secured in 2024. They’re a testament to what happens when you give each client your full attention and bring new ideas to the table.
This “Best Boutique Agency” award is about more than business growth. It celebrates our approach to public relations—putting people and real impact first. As the only Nashville agency invited to join the Public Relations Global Network, REED shows you can keep your local roots and still make waves across the country. Our small but passionate team proves you don’t have to be big to make a real difference for clients and the community.
Here’s to more years of doing what we love!
